KOH Sock Hwee, 26, will tee it up with the best women golfers in the world in March after clinching the coveted local qualifier spot in the HSBC Women's Champions 2016 Host Country Qualifying Tournament.
A four shot lead (74) after the first round on Sentosa Golf Club's Serapong Course was a comfortable cushion for Koh leading into the second round on Thursday which resulted in a two-shot win over second-placed 16-year-old Amanda Tan. Ashley Loh, Amelia Yong and Elizabeth Ang all tied for third.
Some of the world's best female golfers will be in town for the Ladies Professional Golf Association invitational event, including world No 1 Lydia Ko, defending champion Inbee Park and 2014 winner Paula Creamer.
