Porsche puts its electric dreams on display
Pop-up exhibition at Jewel Changi Airport showcases brand's ambitions for post-fossil-fuel era

THIS might come as a surprise to fans of the sports cars that bear his name, but long before Ferdinand Porsche toyed with spark plugs and pistons, he was fascinated by electricity. At age 13 he apparently rigged up his ice skates with light bulbs, "probably to impress the ladies," jokes Yannick Ott, head of PR and Communications at Porsche Asia Pacific.
Photos of the legendary engineer's early tinkering with battery power are part of the Porsche #DrivingTomorrow exhibition at Jewel Changi Airport. It opened on Dec 17 and will run until Jan 16.
