A LOCAL racer from the Ferrari Challenge Asia Pacific series is progressing to the next level - endurance racing - and he is doing it with a 488 GT3 and his own team.

Singaporean Greg Teo has partnered fellow race driver David Tjiptobiantoro of Indonesia to form the T2 Motorsports team.

Teo is also the president of the Ferrari Owners' Club Singapore and a seasoned competitor of several other one-make sports car racing series.

As a Ferrari owner and race driver, Teo will be supported by authorised distributor Ital Auto.

Ital Auto's showroom at Leng Kee Road will also be the venue for T2 Motorsports' launch of its racing team and car on Thursday.

The team has two other drivers - Jeff Yeon Jeong Hoon, a Korean actor/celebrity, and Christian Colombo, an Italian race driver who is also the head coach for Ferrari Challenge drivers.
