Seven-seat style
The Land Rover Discovery Sport has third row seats for children.
IT has the styling of the Range Rover Evoque but with more seats. The Land Rover Discovery Sport is a sleek and stylish seven-seater sold alongside the bigger and more upright Land Rover Discovery. Its front end may look identical to the Range Rover Evoque but it is not because the Discovery Sport is wider. At 4.6 metres in overall length, the Discovery Sport has a generous 2,741 mm wheelbase with three rows of seats.
But the last row of its so-called 5+2 seating is actually suitable only for small people.
In that sense, the Land Rover Discovery Sport is the ideal sport-utility vehicle for a young family. Also ideal is its efficient powertrain. The Discovery Sport has a two-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine producing 240 hp and a very healthy 340 Newton-metres of torque. But what is more impressive is that the unit is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission, just like the one found in the Range Rover Evoque.
