Sharpened 7

The Audi A7 gets a facelift and more fuel efficiency with a 2.0-litre engine and front-wheel drive.

MID-life makeovers aren't usually particularly significant for most models but for the Audi A7 Sportback, it will be special for the introduction of a two-litre engine - the smallest power plant in the lineup thus far. But equally interesting is that at S$310,000, the A7 2.0 has the distinction of being the most expensive two-litre, four-door car in Singapore.

Nearly four years after it debuted here, the A7 2.0 TFSI with its turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine replaces the A7 2.8 FSI quattro with a naturally aspirated 2.8-litre V6 driving all four wheels. There is also a new seven-speed S tronic dual clutch transmission to drive the A7 2.0 TFSI's front wheels.

The A7 3.0 TFSI quattro is still available although it is much higher up the price spectrum with its S$80,000 premium.
