Small cat, big plans
The Jaguar XE sports saloon is the start of something big for the brand.
IT may be the smallest Jaguar but the XE represents the biggest investment that the British carmaker has made for a new model.
As part of the development of the Jaguar XE compact sedan, the Jaguar Land Rover Group invested £2 billion (S$4.2 billion) in a brand new car architecture which will underpin a string of new Jaguar models.
For the XE specifically though, the aim was to redefine the concept of a sports saloon, with simple yet innovative engineering that promises to deliver Jaguar's trademark combination of good ride comfort and outstanding driving dynamics.
