THE brand with the four interlocking rings has spun off its high-performance cars under the dedicated Audi Sport sub-brand and what better way to launch it than with a flat-out, tyre squealing session at the Changi Exhibition Centre. The Audi Sport concept groups the S, RS and R models under a single banner, with its own corporate identity, retail showcase concept and Audi Sport technical specialists to receive these cars when they go in for service or maintenance. More importantly for Singapore, Audi says fans of these hardcore cars can expect an even greater focus on making these models available here. Already on offer here are the S3 (Sportback and Sedan), S8, RS3 Sportback, RS6 Avant and R8.

For a taste of Audi Sport's extreme performance, the Audi Sport Driving Experience is currently being held until May 22. This 10-day driving event comprises a slew of car handling exercises, most of them performed at high speed.

By the end of it, 1,200 people would have accelerated hard, braked harder, weaved around dozens of cones and climbed off-road obstacles in a range of Audi vehicles.
