'High-performance" need not always be cloaked in sensuous sheet metal and one perfectly practical example is the Audi RS6 Avant 4.0 TFSI quattro tiptronic.
Easy to get in and out with enough space to move house, this high-powered estate may not subscribe to the accepted definition of sexy but it is inarguably cool.
The long-roofed Avant (there is no Sedan version) with its bulging wheel arches and massive 20-inch wheels exudes automotive machismo. It is sporty but not outlandish, with the sound and fury of a turbocharged V8 to guarantee visceral appeal.
