MP Baey takes centre stage
HE may be a Member of Parliament for Tampines, but Baey Yam Keng is also known for being one of the most active politicians on social media, posting on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter about two or three times a day.
But like with most online "celebrities", Mr Baey says this online persona is not an accurate reflection of what he is like in real life. He says: "When people who do not know me see me on social media, they may think I'm very sociable, "happening", and very extroverted. But in real life, I see myself as an introvert. I'm not a social butterfly to those who know me."
This is a predicament he shares with Wen Yao, the lead character he plays in an upcoming charity play about social media titled Like Me. I Like - which he is also producing.
