Swamps may be where creepy creatures live, but they are an inspiration for Ripple Root - an artistic duo comprising Liquan Liew and Estella Ng.

According to Liew, "These smelly, muddy marshes are a rich source of life, home to mudskippers, birds, flowers and more."

Swamp-Island-Poetry may be about nature, but the works are also an invitation to ponder the dualities of life. The naive renderings exude quiet confidence amidst the sophistication of the concrete jungle; nature versus hi-tech; and the search for beauty even in the banal.
