Both young and old will be spoilt for choice this long weekend at the National Museum. Besides watching a live telecast of the National Day Parade under the museum's iconic banyan tree, work up an appetite at a screening of filmmaker Kelvin Tong's Republic of Food, a comedy about Singapore and local food. Kids can burn off their energy in bouncy castles inspired by iconic mosaic playgrounds of yesteryear, or go on a scavenger card hunt through the museum's galleries. This year, the museum invites you to share your thoughts and hopes for Singapore through the hashtag #NationalDayatNMS. Over the long weekend, these thoughts will be projected on the museum's LED wall.
