It's time to meet the girl named Maria again as the hit musical West Side Story returns to the stage at Marina Bay Sands. Inspired by Romeo & Juliet, West Side Story tells the story of two star-crossed lovers from rival street gangs who meet a tragic end.
Though the story is a well-worn one, the music composed by Leonard Bernstein and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim never get tired. Classic songs such as Maria, Tonight and America continue to be sung by music lovers everywhere.
West Side Story is running at Mastercard Theatres at Marina Bay Sands until Sept 30.
