Il Divo celebrates its 15th anniversary with its new album Timeless, and a world tour named after it.The multi-platinium group, comprising Carlos Marin (Spain), Urs Buhler (Switzerland), Sebastien Izambard (France) and David Miller (USA), has sold over 30 million records globally and last performed in Singapore two years ago.
Timeless, which opens with a cover of Adele's 'Hello' sung in Spanish and retitled 'Hola', marks the first time Il Divo has struck out on their own. The quartet, who were discovered by Simon Cowell, parted ways with the latter last summer after their contract with the American Idol judge's record company ended.
In an interview with The Independent, Buhler said that the band still considers Cowell "an old friend" and added, "He was very heavily involved in the first three albums, but then - I don't know if he was in incredibly busy with his own career - but his influence and involvement became less and less... He basically just listened to the finished product."
