Something for everyone on concert calendar
IF this weekend's back-to-back double treat of Laneway (Jan 21) and Metallica (Jan 22) only serve to whet your appetite for more "live" music, then you'll be glad to know more have just been announced for the coming months.
First up is Sekai No Owari, one of Japan's hottest bands, which will play Hard Rock Hotel's The Coliseum on March 5. Formed in 2005, the group has its roots in alternative rock but now tackles a wide range of music from jazz to electro-pop and classical - all with a touch of J-Pop.
Like their music videos, the quartet's "live" shows are over-the-top affairs with grand sets that look like they came out of a Tim Burton film. Expect Sekai No Owari's inaugural show in Singapore to be a treat for the senses.
