MOST people know Jacky Cheung for his sentimental love songs but ballads wouldn't make much sense at his latest concert A Classic Tour. Performed in the round, it was an Instagram-worthy song-and-dance extravaganza with state-of-the-art production values.
The show was staged at the Singapore Indoor Stadium last weekend from Friday to Sunday; and tickets for all three performances sold out just hours after going on sale.
Before a crowd of 10,000 at the first gig, the Cantopop King turned back the clock and revisited some of his more uptempo hits. The reason? He wanted to do it before he got too old and could no longer pull off those slick dance moves to the faster songs, Cheung explained to his fans.
