You won't have to walk 500 miles to catch The Proclaimers because the Scottish folk-pop duo comprising twins Craig and Charlie Reid are playing Singapore next week.

It's been over three decades since they released their debut album, This is the Story, which spawned the top three hit Letter from America.

Their 1988 follow-up Sunshine on Leith contained the catchy single I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) but it took another five years before it became a worldwide hit when it was used in the Johnny Depp rom-com Benny & Joon.
