My Weekend
What people do, why and where as told to Tay Suan Chiang
Violet Lim CEO and Co-Founder of Lunch Actually Group
"Weekends are the precious two days that I get to spend with my husband Jamie and my children Corum and Cara, especially when I travel for work every five to 10 days. On Saturdays, I play driver to my children, ferrying them to their classes. While waiting for Corum, I have tea at Oriole Coffee + Bar at Capitol Piazza while reflecting on the week that has passed and planning for the work week ahead.
After that, we head home to pick up Cara for our fitness training session at Bukit Timah. The kids and I train with FlexiFitness, a fitness programme designed by a national marathon record holder. While the kids run, play soccer, basketball and dodgeball, I'm running laps around the track with the other parents. After a good and sweaty workout, we meet up with Jamie where we settle in to our weekly family ritual of movie night at home.
