New Artists

The Singapore Biennale is currently showcasing the best Asian contemporary art at various venues, but most in-demand artists today got their start at small art platforms such as the Affordable Art Fair. Returning to F1 Pit Building this weekend, the 10th edition of Affordable Art Fair Singapore is led by fair director Alan Koh as well as new regional managing director Stephanie Kelly (pictured). More than 600 local and international artists will be showing their works in over 80 gallery booths. The prices of the artworks are capped at S$15,000, with 75 per cent of the works priced below S$7,500. If you've got a good eye, you could probably pick up a bargain by a new artist long before she gets noticed by bigger galleries.
Affordable Art Fair runs from Nov 22 to 24 at the F1 Pit Building. Tickets at the door and via eventbrite.com
