BOOKMATE, a new e-book subscription service, hopes to fire up the self-publishing scene in Singapore with its social media-friendly platform and large library of half a million titles.
Despite the closure of two major e-book players last year, Bookmate was launched on Wednesday in partnership with StarHub. Through its platform, a self-publishing writer can join over 600 publishers that range from publishing powerhouse HarperCollins to Singapore's own Epigram.
