The NEXT big thing in gaming
The NEXT is a great first attempt by a home-grown Singapore startup at building a relatively affordable, full-fat gaming AIO
LET slip the words "gaming" and "computer" to a wizened gamer, and he or she might in return bestow upon you ancient wisdom like "Alienware", "Razer", "MSI" or "Asus".
But a wholly home-grown Singapore startup is looking to add to that alphabet soup with a special sauce of its own. Aftershock PC is the brainchild of fraternal twins Marcus and Joe Wee, whose young company is taking the fight to the computing big boys.
"I looked at the current (gaming) environment in Singapore, and there were only DIYs and MNCs. Nothing in between. We wanted to fill that gap," says Marcus, managing director of Aftershock PC. Their showroom along Bendemeer Road is nestled in an industrial estate. It underscores its down-to-earth ethos of "customer-first" and getting rid of the garnish (and costs) associated with larger computer brands.
