THE brief had been to design a trophy befitting winners of the SG50 Outstanding Chinese Business Pioneers Awards, along the theme of "Respect and the Pioneers' Spirit of Succession".
But competition organiser Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCCI) wanted the design to come from young people, as an expression of their recognition of what the pioneering generation has done for Singapore.
The entry from Ngee Ann Polytechnic's School of Design & Environment was adjudged the best and awarded the prize of S$2,000 on Wednesday.
