ON Sunday at the historic Ryogoku Kokugikan arena in Tokyo, Singapore-based sports media giant One Championship will make martial arts history with its debut event in Japan.
A total of 15 matches have been confirmed for the show titled "A New Era", including a record four world championship bouts and a rare champion-versus-champion match. Fighters from 19 different countries are set to compete in the cage.
Here are four reasons why this One Championship event in the Land of the Rising Sun is arguably the most spectacular that the company has ever staged since its founding in 2011.
