Nocturnal attractions

Started in 1998 to enliven the Bras Basah-Bugis precinct, the popular Night Festival celebrates its 10th year with over 70 programmes and 65 artists. Some of the top attractions include Globe by Close Act, combining circus techniques, pyrotechnics and video projection to create a pure entertainment spectacle.
Look out also for the roving acts, such as the Bulb Heads, two characters with large bulbs for heads roaming among the crowds and communicating with others via their flickering filaments. Also captivating are the Time Minders, quirky figures dressed in costumes inspired by Salvadore Dali's painting Persistence Of Memory and performing a symphony with real clocks.
The Night Festival 2017 runs from Aug 18 to 26. For more information, go to nightfestival.sg.
