PETER Pan is a lavish musical for children between the ages of five and 95.
The younger ones would be thrilled by the visual pageantry and catchy tunes. The older ones would appreciate the darker shades of the story, the idea that cruelty exists in everyone, true love can be unrequited and utopias don't last.
Avant-garde director Robert Wilson has conjured an extraordinarily rich spectacle based on JM Barrie's children's book. It oscillates swiftly between light and dark, good and evil, comedy and sheer horror.
