Novel Beauty
When artists put down their paint brushes, cameras and tools, they sometimes turn their hand to making art books. The results are beautifully conceived and constructed books that offer a different way of consuming art and the printed page. Many such art books will be on sale at the annual Singapore Art Book Fair taking place this weekend at Gillman Barracks, Singapore's favourite art cluster.
There will also be catalogues, monographs, zines and printed ephemera, as well as a range of art activities and performances to complement the fair. Participants include Phaidon, Grey Projects, Post-Museum and the Vietnam Artists Book Project.
The art book fair is on from June 29 to July 1 from 12 noon to 8pm at NTU CCA, Blk 43, Malan Road, Gillman Barracks.
