Yeng Pway Ngon's classic Singapore novel Art Studio has been transferred onto the stage by Singapore's top Mandarin theatre company, Nine Years Theatre, to open this year's Singapore International Festival of Arts.

The play is directed by the acclaimed Nelson Chia, whose surgically precise revivals of classic plays such as Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf and Twelve Angry Men have been among the most memorable in recent years.
Art Studio plays from Aug 17 to 19 at the Victoria Theatre. In Mandarin with English surtitles. Tickets from Sistic
