Painting by textures in photography
Marcel Heijnen explores the idea of change and what is left behind, with a series on modern cityscapes, reports RACHEL LOI
MARCEL Heijnen wears many hats. In addition to being a graphic designer by trade, he helps run a cafe, is a singer-songwriter with a solo album to his name, and he is a photographer fresh off his exhibitions at both Hong Kong and Singapore's Affordable Art Fairs this year.
Right now, the latest thing keeping him busy is the release of his first book - a compilation of over 50 of his photographs, titled Residue.
The book was officially launched last night at his cafe, Artistry, together with his own exhibition of the same name.
