SINCE SHE WAS a little girl, Australian florist Saskia Havekes loved to make posies and sell them by the roadside.

In 1995, she opened Grandiflora in Sydney and more recently, at Culina at COMO Dempsey, which is Grandiflora's first overseas outpost.

Asked about her style of floral arrangements, Ms Havekes says, "if you go into a field of flowers, pick a bunch of blooms and curate them slightly in a vase - that's the best way to describe my style."
