Picture Perfect
Tay Suan Chiang
The pet-obsessed who want to go beyond taking countless photos of their furkids can go one up by painting them. Even if you haven't picked up a paintbrush in decades, artists Lyn Ng of Studio Mu Yu and Carlyn Law of Eat To Draw will guide you through the process in their workshops on pet painting and woodcraft. Pet Art & Woodcraft Creative Workshop at Studio Mu Yu teaches you to make a wooden picture frame with basic skills such as sanding, staining, nailing and assembling. You also learn to paint your dog or cat's portrait in watercolour and acrylic paint using various techniques. Everyone gets to bring home their artwork after this three-hour creative workshop, which takes place on June 16, from 2pm. The workshop fee is S$120, inclusive of all materials and tools.
Studio Mu Yu is at #02-09, Katong Point, 451 Joo Chiat Road. Email eattodraw@gmail.com to secure seats.
