Plotting to make you squirm in your seat
IF your year-end plans don't involve a trip to London, don't fret - West End is coming to Singapore's Kallang Theatre, by way of The Woman in Black.
The acclaimed two-man play which opens next week is based on the novel of the same name by English author Susan Hill in 1983. A film adaptation starring Daniel Radcliffe was released early last year.
The Woman In Black is a spine-chilling thriller that frightens not with special effects but with its story. An old man named Arthur Kipps recounts a supernatural experience in his life to a young actor. It took place 30 years before when he was a junior solicitor attending a funeral, at which he saw the eponymous apparition.
