Pole dancing empowers MindFi's Anita Sadasivan
Pole dancing is a sport that requires strength and flexibility, and is a big part of Anita Sadasivan's routine
MY dance journey began at the age of 5 when I begged my mother to sign me up for ballet classes. I grew up dancing ballet and contemporary dance and when I returned to Singapore after completing my university education, one of the first things I did was to look for a dance school. I came across an advertisement for pole dancing class and was hooked from my very first spin.
Pole dancing is a sport that requires strength, flexibility and confidence - a dance that celebrates the beauty of the human form in every colour, shape and age. I have been pole dancing for a decade and am still constantly challenged and inspired to grow in my pole journey.
I now spend every Sunday teaching pole dancing. It brings me immense joy and I love watching my students become stronger, happier and more confident through pole dancing.
