This eighth-generation Porsche 911 comes with a raft of digital driving aids, but it still wrings strong emotions from keen drivers

PORSCHE has been doing 911s for a long time. We're talking over 50 years, even longer if you take the earlier 356 into account. That long road of history leads to the car you see here, the eighth generation of the 911.
If you're a Porschephile, it's the type 992 and it replaces the 991.2 (and to keep numbers like that straight in your head, you certainly would have to have a serious case of Porschephilia).
