Punk Pop Pioneers
It's been a decade since Green Day performed in Singapore but the radio-friendly punk-pop trio have confirmed they will be returning to Singapore in 2020. The five-time Grammy winners and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee's upcoming tour will be in support of their 13th studio album, Father of All..., due to drop next February. The catchy title track was released as a single recently.
Singapore is the first stop for the punk icons as they embark on a global stadium tour that includes solo dates in Asia and Europe and a subsequent co-headlining jaunt through North America, UK and Europe with Weezer and Fall Out Boy. Formed in 1986 in Berkeley, CA, Green Day has sold more than 70 million records worldwide and accumulated over 10 billion streams - proof that old is still gold.
Green Day plays Singapore Indoor Stadium on March 8 2020 at 8pm. Tickets from S$108 to S$198 on sale now through Sportshubtix.
