Return Of The Crooner

Engelbert Humperdinck returns to play Singapore as part of his The Angel On My Shoulder World Tour. The honey-voiced British crooner is behind evergreen ballads like The Last Waltz, Quando Quando Quando, Release Me, Spanish Eyes, There Goes My Everything and more. Humperdinck has entertained fans for over half a decade and as best buds with Elvis Presley, the pair used to perform each other's songs on stage. And in a mind-blowing interview last year, the vocal powerhouse revealed that Jimi Hendrix once stood in for his tour guitarist during the sixties when the latter was too ill to perform. The incident is little-known as the Purple Haze axeman played behind a curtain but "it sounded like three guitars playing", Humperdinck told the Daily Herald.
