DUST off your passport and get your suitcases out of storage. After a year of no international leisure travel, it now looks like overseas vacations can take place again. It is good news for those whose wanderlust cannot be satisfied with staycations or cruises to nowhere.

According to Alexandre de Juniac, director of the International Air Transport Association in a recent interview, personal and leisure travel will return from the second half of this year as borders reopen to tourists.

From July 1, Thailand will waive quarantine requirements for vaccinated visitors arriving on the resort island of Phuket.
