SINGAPOREANS are certainly no strangers to musicals - not with a spate of them hitting local theatres in the last couple of years, such as multiple award-winners Wicked, Phantom of the Opera, The Lion King and, most recently, Mamma Mia.
With this in mind, Leonard Tan, music director of local wind orchestra The Philharmonic Winds, came up with the theme for their upcoming year-end concert, Circle Of Life: A Night Of Musicals.
"Since musicals are loved by so many people, we expect to see audiences from all walks of life," says Dr Tan, who is also associate conductor of the Singapore National Youth Orchestra.
