THE Coconut Club (TCC) is the kind of place that would give a pineapple a major existential crisis if it stepped into its palm tree-themed premises. Anything that’s not green, round and white-fleshed need not apply to this house of lemak, which has coconut water on tap and milk flowing through its pipes. From rice to curry washed down with a coconut shake or mai tai, to going in for the cholesterol kill with chendol and assorted kueh, TCC spins many tales of rich creaminess — but the real ending we want is the one with the chicken.
