MULTI-DISCIPLINARY arts festival, Noise Singapore, is making itself heard with a host of fresh additions to this year's line-up. On the cards are a three-day music fest at the Esplanade featuring 18 acts - including bands, singer-songwriters and rappers - from Sept 12 to 14; and the Noise Singapore Festival Exhibition showcasing 300 works of art by 150 young artists this weekend at ION Orchard.

"It's great to see that there is still growing interest in the festival (as) we strive to keep it fresh and relevant to the needs of today's youth," says Peggy Leong, deputy director for Arts and Youth at National Arts Council, which is behind Noise Singapore.

The annual event has grown significantly over the past nine years, thanks to a host of new elements that are added to ensure things remain fresh and exciting for festival-goers as well as its participants.
