On the road to Turkey
A team to represent Singapore at the World Amateur Golfers Championship 2015 next month will be chosen after Tuesday's national qualifying finals here.
WHEN the players in Team Singapore tee off at the World Amateur Golfers Championship (WAGC) 2015 in Turkey next month, they will be hoping to emulate last year's result. The five amateur golfers who flew the Singapore flag proudly at the WAGC in South Africa in 2014 finished second overall among 32 international teams, with one - David Seow - emerging as the top golfer in his handicap category.
However, the team will only be finalised after next Tuesday's national qualifying finals of the SPH World Amateur Golfers Championship (SPH WAGC) at Tanah Merah Country Club's Garden Course.
This is the second time Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) is organising the SPH WAGC which serves as a national qualifier for the November world finals in Belek, Antalya.
