SIX bottles of Romanee Conti 1993 Domaine de la Romanee Conti sold for £61,000 (S$110,000) at a Sotheby's sale in London on Dec 14, while another six bottles of the same grand cru producer's 1976 vintage fetched £32,900 in a line-up of mature wines led by top Burgundies.
The sale also featured six bottles of white Montrachet 1995 DRC from the Cote de Beaune grand cru vineyard, which fetched £22,325, and six bottles of Montrachet 2001, which sold for £21,150. All top four Burgundy lots were snapped up by Asian buyers.
