A Fake Girlfriend for Chinese New Year By Jackie Lau
JACKIE Lau's breezy comic novel centres on Zach Wong, a laidback Chinese-American high school teacher with floppy "Hugh Grant hair", and a traditional Chinese family who wants him to get married because he's "already" 30.
Zach is still licking his wounds after his ex-fiancee called off their engagement and tossed the diamond ring in his face; he is in no hurry to "repeat" that mistake.
