Royal Slice

New Year celebrations continue into February at TWG Tea, with its rendition of the King's Cake, or Galette des Rois. It's a very French tradition that involves hiding a key or charm in a flaky puff pastry filled with frangipane cream (made from almonds, butter, eggs and sugar). Whoever finds the token is "crowned" King or Queen for the day. TWG Tea's version is infused with its signature Vanilla Bourbon Tea - a South African red tea blended with sweet vanilla beans. Instead of a key, the token is a whole almond. If you order a slice at any of TWG Tea's outlets and find the almond, you get to go home with a crown and a whole King's Cake, with their compliments.

The King's Cake retails at S$55 and is available until Feb 2
