Fans of Asian horror movies won't want to miss this.
HBO Asia has kicked off its very first horror anthology original series, Folklore, just in time for Halloween.
Set across six Asian countries (Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand), the plot of each episode is based on their respective superstitions and occult practices .
The show is filmed in the local language of each country. Singapore's Eric Khoo (Ramen Teh), Thailand's Pen-Ek Ratanaruang (Last Life in the Universe) and Korea's Lee Sang-Woo (Fire in Hell) are three of the six highly-acclaimed directors who have contributed a one-hour episode each..
Folklore also features an ensemble Asian cast with Japan's Kazuki Kitamura (Godzilla: Final Wars) and Korea's Lee Chae-Yeon (Running Man) featured in leading roles.
A new episode of Folklore premieres every Sunday at 10pm on HBO. It is also available to stream on HBO GO and on HBO On Demand.
