The Aman group is set to open its third property in Japan this November in Kyoto, scoring yet another prime spot in tranquil surroundings. This time, Aman Kyoto is located in a once-forgotten secret garden, hidden at the foot of the Hidari Daimonji mountain in the north of Kyoto. The resort sits in forested grounds in Takagamine district, just a short walk from the UNESCO heritage site of Kinkaku-ji Temple. As with Aman Tokyo and Amanemu, this resort is designed by the firm Kerry Hill Architects, and comprises a series of standalone pavilions, each with its own function, for example, Arrival, Living, Dining and Spa. Four guest pavilions house 24 guest rooms overlooking the garden or stream. It goes without saying that luxury and serenity are all packaged into the price.
