DALE Chihuly, arguably the world's most famous glass artist, is showcasing his flamboyant and monumental blown-glass artworks at Gardens by the Bay. Although his works have been permanently installed in locations such as Resorts World Sentosa and the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, this marks the first time that Chihuly is holding a formal garden exhibition in Asia.

Chihuly is best known for bright-coloured glass sculptures that appear organic and natural in form. When placed in verdant landscapes, the sculptures augment the surrounding flora while also drawing attention to themselves. When the 79-year-old artist holds a major garden exhibition in the United States, they often attract visitors in record numbers.

At the Gardens by the Bay exhibition running from May 1 to Aug 1, there will be 25 large-scale installations and 80 other works scattered across the 101 hectares nature park, from the Meadow to the Conservatories (Cloud Forest and Flower Dome).
