AT the Singapore: Inside Out showcase in Madison Square Park, the epicentre of the activities, pastry chef Janice Wong will create an edible art installation featuring a ceiling full of lollipops, gumdrop walls and chocolate-coated poles. You're welcome to eat her creations.

Meanwhile, a Singapore Restaurant Week is taking place from Sept 18 to 27, with 20 notable restaurants and cafes serving up Singapore-inspired dishes. For instance, the well-loved The Meatball Shop owned by chef Daniel Holzman will unveil the Singapore meatball at six of his shops in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
