    "ARE you double-barrelling your surname? Please tell me you're not double-barrelling your surname," a friend recently pleaded over lunch.

    Ah, the ol' who-takes-whose-name discussion - an issue I had given some (but not much) thought, up until that point. Because let's be honest: a couple prepping for a lifetime together has way more critical stuff to settle.

    See, I get married today to my partner of over 10 years. But even as I write this, I'm still unsure of where I stand on the surname issue.
