SERENA Williams, the world's top-ranked female tennis player who dominated the BNP Paribas WTA Finals tournament in Singapore last year, will return to the Lion City this October to defend her crown.
The 33-year-old is the first to qualify for the Women's Tennis Association's (WTA) season-ending event, which will be staged once again at the Singapore Sports Hub from Oct 23 to Nov 1.
