Shakespeare's Caesar

Catch acclaimed theatre director Nicholas Hytner's work on screen as he brings current political urgency to his 2018 stage production of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, with echoes of Brexit within.
Ben Whishaw and David Morrissey are excellent as Brutus and Mark Anthony - this film screening of the live theatre performance also showcases Hytner's wildly innovative staging: audiences don't so much sit as stand around the characters, respond to their rallies and become part of the action.
National Theatre Live (Screening): Julius Caesar takes place on Sept 29 at the Esplanade Theatre at 8pm. Tickets from Sistic.
