A shared passion for running
Sofie Chandra and Eugene Lim, the captains of the adidas Runners Singapore group, wax lyrical about their love for the sport
ON MOST Saturday mornings, a group of people both young and not so young - the vast majority of them clad in adidas gear from head to toe - turn up at different locations in Singapore and run together.
They are part of the adidas Runners (AR) Singapore group, which was launched in September 2017 and has since grown to close to 4,000 members that follow its official Facebook page.
Most of the AR sessions see some 80 to 100 people turn up for runs that are about 5km or so, while the larger-scale "tribe runs" - which tend to involve more challenging routes - welcome around 200 runners each time.
